Instructions

  1. Pat 1 pound (450g) of boneless, skinless chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Slice each breast horizontally into even strips about 1 inch (2.5 cm) thick. Set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, combine 3 tablespoons honey, 3 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce, 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar, minced garlic (3 cloves), and a pinch of red pepper flakes if desired. Whisk until smooth.
  3. Place a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and add 2 tablespoons olive oil. Let it warm until shimmering but not smoking (about 1-2 minutes).
  4. Add chicken strips in a single layer. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side until golden brown. Do not overcrowd the pan; cook in batches if needed.
