Halloween Popcorn Snack Mix - featured image

A quick, assembly-only Halloween snack mix featuring popcorn, pretzels, cheese puffs, and candy, presented as a festive charcuterie board for parties or trick-or-treaters.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 10 cups popped popcorn (plain or buttered)
  • 2 cups mini pretzels
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese puffs
  • 1 cup mixed nuts (optional, walnuts or pecans)
  • 1 cup candy corn
  • 1/2 cup Halloween M&Ms or Reese’s Pieces
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries or raisins
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter or coconut oil (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pop the popcorn using an air popper or stovetop method. Transfer to a large mixing bowl and let cool slightly.
  2. While popcorn cools, prepare mix-ins by opening packages of pretzels, cheese puffs, and candies. Crush large cheese puffs slightly if needed.
  3. Add pretzels, cheese puffs, nuts, and dried fruits to the bowl with the popcorn. Gently toss together with a spatula to avoid breaking the popcorn.
  4. Fold in the candy corn and chocolate candies last to keep them whole and bright.
  5. If desired, drizzle melted butter or coconut oil over the mix and sprinkle with pumpkin pie spice. Toss gently again.
  6. Arrange the mix on a serving board or platter. For a charcuterie look, arrange ingredients in separate piles or sections and add decorative elements like mini pumpkins or spiders.

Notes

This mix stays fresh for up to a week in an airtight container at room temperature. Avoid refrigeration as humidity makes popcorn and pretzels soggy. Add candy corn right before serving to prevent melting. For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free pretzels and cheese puffs.
