These chewy, dense protein balls are a quick, no-bake snack made with simple ingredients like oats, peanut butter, and protein powder. Perfect for post-workout fuel or a healthy on-the-go treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 cups Old-Fashioned Rolled Oats
  • 1 cup Natural Creamy Peanut Butter
  • 1/3 cup Honey
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 scoop (approx. 30g) Protein Powder (Vanilla or Chocolate)
  • 1/2 cup Mini Chocolate Chips
  • 1 pinch Sea Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Flaxseed Meal (Optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine peanut butter, honey, and vanilla extract. If the peanut butter is stiff, microwave for 10-15 seconds to soften. Whisk until smooth.
  2. Add rolled oats, protein powder, flaxseed meal (if using), and sea salt to the wet mixture. Mix with a silicone spatula until the oats are fully coated and the mixture resembles wet sand.
  3. Gently fold in the mini chocolate chips, ensuring they are distributed evenly without being crushed.
  4. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up the mixture.
  5. Remove from the fridge. Use a cookie scoop or wet hands to portion the mixture and roll into 1.5-inch balls.
  6. Place finished balls on a plate or in an airtight container. Store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks or freeze for up to three months.

Notes

Ensure peanut butter is stirred well before measuring to incorporate separated oil. Do not use instant oats as they will make the mixture mushy. If the mixture is too sticky to roll, chill it longer or wet your hands with cold water. If too crumbly, add more honey or peanut butter.
