A quick and easy recipe for juicy, crispy pork chops made in the air fryer in just 15 minutes. Perfect for busy weeknights, these pork chops have a flavorful crust and tender inside without the mess of deep frying.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 bone-in or boneless pork chops (about 1-inch thick)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Optional: pinch of cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels.
  2. Rub both sides of the pork chops with olive oil (about 1 tablespoon per side).
  3. In a shallow bowl, combine panko breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, and cayenne if using. Stir to blend evenly.
  4. Press each pork chop firmly into the breadcrumb mixture, coating both sides evenly.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3 minutes.
  6. Place pork chops in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  7. Cook for 7 minutes, then flip and cook for another 7-8 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C) and the crust is golden and crispy.
  8. Let the pork chops rest for 3-5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Patting the pork chops dry is crucial for a crispy crust. Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket to ensure even crisping; cook in batches if necessary. If crust browns too fast, lower temperature by 10-15°F and extend cooking time. Let chops rest after cooking to lock in juices. For gluten-free, substitute panko with gluten-free panko or almond flour. For dairy-free, omit Parmesan or use dairy-free cheese alternative.
