A homemade chicken wing dip that captures the tangy, spicy flavor of buffalo wings without the grease. This easy, baked dip combines shredded chicken with cream cheese, buffalo sauce, and melted cheeses for a crowd-pleasing game day snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup buffalo sauce (e.g., Frank’s RedHot)
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded low-moisture mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup ranch dressing
  • 2 tablespoons blue cheese dressing
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Shred the cooked chicken using two forks, discarding skin and bones.
  3. Cut cream cheese into cubes and let sit at room temperature for 30 minutes or microwave in short bursts until soft.
  4. In a large bowl, combine softened cream cheese, buffalo sauce, ranch dressing, and blue cheese dressing. Mix until smooth.
  5. Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  6. Fold in the shredded chicken and half of the cheddar cheese.
  7. Spread the mixture evenly into a 9×9 inch baking dish.
  8. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar and mozzarella cheese evenly over the top.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and edges are golden.
  10. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Ensure cream cheese is fully softened to avoid lumps. Buffalo sauce heat levels vary; adjust with extra ranch or cayenne as needed. For a crispier top, broil for the last 2 minutes. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat with a splash of milk or broth to restore creaminess.
