  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup granola (preferably with toasted coconut flakes, pumpkin seeds, and cinnamon)
  • 1/4 cup fresh fruit (sliced strawberries, blueberries, or kiwi)
  • Small handful toasted nuts, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Peel and slice the frozen banana into chunks for easier blending. Measure out Greek yogurt, protein powder, and almond milk.
  2. Combine frozen banana, Greek yogurt, protein powder, almond milk, honey or maple syrup (if using), chia seeds, and vanilla extract into a high-speed blender.
  3. Blend on high for about 45 seconds to 1 minute until the mixture is thick and creamy. Add more almond milk if needed to reach desired consistency.
  4. Taste and adjust sweetness by adding more honey or syrup if desired. If too thin, add a few ice cubes or more frozen banana and blend briefly.
  5. Pour the smoothie base into a serving bowl.
  6. Sprinkle granola evenly over the top, then add sliced fresh fruit and toasted nuts for extra texture and flavor.
