A quick and easy homemade dessert dip with a creamy texture and mini chocolate chips, perfect for cozy nights and casual gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup (57 g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/3 cup (70 g) packed brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup (40 g) powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup (90 g) mini chocolate chips
  • 23 tbsp (3045 ml) milk (whole or 2%)

Instructions

  1. Start by softening the cream cheese and butter. Leave them out at room temperature for at least 30 minutes to make mixing easier.
  2. In your mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and butter. Beat them together on medium speed for about 2 minutes until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add the brown sugar and powdered sugar. Mix again on medium speed until fully incorporated, about 1-2 minutes.
  4. Pour in the vanilla extract. Blend for another 30 seconds to evenly distribute the flavor.
  5. Slowly add milk, one tablespoon at a time. Beat after each addition and stop when you reach a creamy, scoopable consistency.
  6. Fold in the mini chocolate chips gently using a rubber spatula.
  7. Transfer the dip to a serving bowl. Chill in the fridge for 15-20 minutes if you prefer it firmer, or serve immediately.

Notes

Use room temperature cream cheese and butter to avoid lumps. Use mini chocolate chips for better texture. Adjust milk slowly to get the perfect consistency. Chill for firmer dip or serve immediately for soft texture. Avoid overmixing after adding chocolate chips to prevent melting.
