A quick, no-bake dessert dip combining softened cream cheese, warm caramel sauce, and spices, served with crisp apple slices. Perfect for fall gatherings or unexpected guests.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces (225g) full-fat cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1 cup (240ml) thick caramel sauce
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon (5ml) pure vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 3 large Granny Smith or Honeycrisp apples, cored and sliced into sticks
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, optional

Instructions

  1. Cut the softened cream cheese into small cubes and let it sit on the counter for 15-20 minutes to ensure it is soft.
  2. Wash, core, and slice the apples into 1/2 inch thick sticks. Optionally toss with a pinch of cinnamon.
  3. Pour the caramel sauce into a microwave-safe bowl and microwave on high for 30 seconds. Stir well and microwave for another 15-20 seconds if needed until warm and pourable.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese cubes, warm caramel sauce, heavy cream, vanilla extract, and salt.
  5. Using an electric hand mixer on medium-high speed, beat the mixture for 2-3 minutes until smooth, creamy, and fluffy. Scrape down the sides halfway through.
  6. Check consistency; if too thick, add a teaspoon of heavy cream. If too thin, add a dollop of cream cheese.
  7. Pour the dip into a serving dish and arrange apple sticks around or alongside it for serving.

Notes

Ensure cream cheese is fully softened to room temperature to avoid lumps. Do not overheat the caramel or it may separate. The dip can be made up to 24 hours in advance; let it come to room temperature before serving. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Avoid freezing as the texture may become grainy.
